After a gap of 25 years, Lata Mangeshkar will once again sing for Zeenat Aman!
Apparently, when music director Nikhil Kamat sang the tune of the song to her, the legendary singer immediately agreed to sing the song. She seemed extremely happy to know that the song will be picturised on Zeenat and went into a nostalgic mode. The song is the film's title track.

Lata and Zeenat have earlier teamed up for several hit songs such as Panna Ki Tamanna (Heera Panna) and title track of Satyam Shivam Sundaram. The last song Lata had sung for Zeenat was in the film Yaadon Ki Kasam (1985). Dunno Y...Na Jaane Kyun will also see Zeenat performing to her evergreen number Aap Jaisa Koi from Qurbaani. She will be re-uniting with her co-star Kabir Bedi after 38 years.

Shah Rukh said that Scorcese had told him he wants to watch Devdas and he promised to send him a copy soon.

Aamir Khan has given his resignation from the committee reviewing the proposed amendment in copyright laws which includes Boney Kapoor, Javed Akhtar, Bhushan Kumar, Vishal Bhardwaj, Madhu Mantena, Mukesh Bhatt and Prasoon Joshi headed by Kapil Sabil.

In his letter to Sibal, Aamir wrote that though he felt he had a lot to contribute, “I cannot make any meaningful contribution in this atmosphere. Aggression of this type leaves me feeling very disillusioned and sad and I am unable to function.” Aamir also appreciated the move to amend the copyright law. He told Sibal, “I believe that amendments to the Copyright Act are long overdue. I believe that the changes that you are bringing about in the sphere of education are so dynamic, progressive and positive, that I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that you will do the same in the field of copyright.”

And of course...Of course antibiotics lend slight support. But why let medication take all the credit when we can share it?"

Farrukh Dhondy, who wrote Bandit Queen and The Rising, has written Carpet Boy's screenplay in English and Urdu.

Besides this, Ayush is playing leading man in Swiss film “Shyam’s Secret”.
Set in India, it is the story of an eight-year-old European girl and her friendship with an enigmatic Indian boy Shyam.

Filmmaker duo Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Raj Kumar Hirani had a special preview of 3 Idiots for Bollywood legend Dilip Kumar and his begum Saira Banu. Yusufsaab enjoyed the film and there were portions where he was clapping his hands with glee. By the end of the film though he had lost patience with Chatur (Omi Vaidya) and shouted, “Shut up, shut up, shut up!” at the screen character. When the film ended he told Vinod and Raju that he was overwhelmed seeing the film and wanted to have a cup of steaming hot tea and discuss the movie.

Katrina adopts a leopard

On January 22, a 15-day leopard cub was spotted in Devankhedi village near Bhopal and rescued by a team from the national park Van Vihar. The villagers named the cub Katrina because they felt that she was ‘beautiful and silky like Katrina Kaif.’ When Katrina learnt about this and she made enquiries with Van Vihar in which she has expressed a desire to adopt the animal.
When contacted, Van Vihar’s assistant director AK Khare said Katrina Kaif had indeed expressed a desire to adopt the leopard.
He also said that Katrina’s assistant had called him saying that she was willing to adopt that leopard. He expressed that, “It would be great if she does. However, let me clarify that the leopard cub, which Katrina Kaif is ready to adopt, is spelt as Catreena, not Katrina. At this point of time, the animal is housed in our zoo.”

Shreyas Talpade's horrifying stunt

Shreyas Talpade has been recently working on his latest movie 'Click' which seems to be a paranormal psychological thriller. On the set of this movie while Shreyas for filming for a crucial scene he met with an accident. In the scene Shreyas had to fall backward off the 3 rd floor iron railing of the building. Though Shreyas was tied to the harness and had to fall backward on the crash mat on the ground.

When the director shouted action, the assistant faltered a bit due to wrong timing & Shreyas went upside down with his head, instead of his back, in the direction of the ground, Shreyas could feel his blood rushing in his head from the free fall to the ground but just before reaching ground zero, the assistant recovered from his initial shock & pulled the harness. Shreyas was left suspended inches from the ground, where he could have had his neck snapped up! The whole unit heaved a sigh of relief and the director asked Shreyas if they could shoot with a body double, but Shreyas insisted that he would like to do it again, since he did not want to compromise on the expressions on the crucial shot.
And after rehearsing with the right body technique of falling backward with the body control &timing of releasing the harness & taking all precautions , Shreyas shot again to give a perfect shot which is the highlight of the film.

Oh his Twitter account this renowned director expressed his honest opinion by stating, “I am so proud of Rahman, but Slumdog is not his best music, he has and will do far far better. Wait for his score in Paani.” Well there is surely no stopping for Rahman now!

Rahman wins 2 Grammys

A R Rahman reached an exceptional milestone at the 52nd annual Grammy Awards by winning two Grammys for his music from Oscar Award winning film 'Slumdog Millionaire. Rahman was nominated for
Best Compilation Soundtrack Album For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media and Best Song Written For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media categories; And he walked away with both the awards. This was the first time that A.R Rahman was nominated at the Grammy Awards.

Rahman had also won 2 Academy awards and Golden Globe awards in the same category ealier. He joins the brigade of other Indian Gramophone holders which include Zakir Jussain, Pandit Ravi Shankar, Vikku Vinayak and Vishvamohan Bhatt.

Aishwarya to do a dance number from Amitabh's Lawaaris

Sajid Nadiawala has been successful in buying the rights of Apni to jaise taise, thodi aise ya waise from the 1981 hit Laawaris. Reportedly,in his next flick Houseful Sajid plans to show a dance number using this song with Akshay Kumar,Arjun Rampal and Ritesh Deshmukh which will also feature Aishwarya Rai.

When contacted Sajid Nadiadwala said, “Yes, we have bought the rights of the song but Aishwarya Rai is not in our version. We can confirm names only when everything is finalised.”
On the other hand, director Sajid Khan said, “I will neither confirm nor deny the news. We will be making an announcement at the right time.”

Actress Kangna Ranaut has just discovered that she was being impersonated on a social networking site but what’s causing even greater heartburn is the fact that her Fashion costar Priyanka Chopra has actually been interacting with whoever that person is.
A source reveals, “Kangana is not registered on any social networking site but there are several impersonators out there. Kangana had barely recovered from that disturbing fact when she learnt that Priyanka had been interacting and following one such impersonator.”
An angry and worried Kangana plans to warn Priyanka and her other friends about the fake account.

Usne mujhe yeh wedding ring pehnai. I told him that I’ve been crazy about him for years. Unfortunately, he is married. I guess he thought that my love story was very unusual and that’s why he said that we should get married and gave me this ring. I will never remove the ring and I am glad that he accepted my love and admiration for him. He even asked me about my family and I told him that they could not make it. However, I invited him to my house for dinner, but I guess he was busy.”
