Shilpa Shetty clarifies on Pakistani players

Amidst all questioning about not auctioning the Pak players in IPL this year Shilpa Shetty comments, "I am very hurt and there have been hate mails also. We have lost some of the greatest players in the world, but why doesn't anyone talk about Australia, England and so many others who were not picked in the auction?" she added.

She further said, "The reason for dropping Pak cricketers is understandable in current scenario."
"We wanted the players to be in the country and at that point of time we were more worried about security. We did not want to take on us for their security," she said.

On the other hand, Lalit modi said that there was no conspiracy theory behind snubbing Pak players.

Shilpa Shetty, Preity Zinta, Lalit Modi and representative of other franchises were addressing a press conference here after tie up between IPL and Network 18 entertainment channel Colors for post match coverage.

It is worth mentioning here that IPL snub has taken diplomatic hue and sparked off debate among Pakistan and Indian media. Pakistan Cable operators have announced to boycott the coverage of IPL matches while senior players have called for discontinuing all sports tie with India.
